# Community finance

## 11.1 Digital ROSCA (Rotating Savings and Credit Association)

ONEx brings the world's oldest financial instrument on-chain, removing intermediary trust while preserving community benefit. Smart contracts enforce every rule automatically.

A ROSCA (also known as chit fund, tanda, hui, or susu depending on the region) is a group savings mechanism where members contribute a fixed amount each period and one member receives the entire pool — rotating until every member has received their payout once.

**ONEx Digital ROSCA features:**

* Smart contract enforcement — no trust required between members
* Customizable contribution amount, frequency, and group size
* AI-optimized payout order based on member preferences and needs
* Credit score improvement for all members who complete the cycle
* Optional: ZK-verified membership for privacy
* Default insurance: if a member misses a payment, the pool is made whole from their stake

## 11.2 Community Lending Pools

Peer-to-peer lending with AI-managed risk diversification:

| Parameter | Specification |
| -------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------- |
| Minimum pool entry | $10 |
| AI-managed diversification | Across borrower profiles automatically |
| Shared default risk | Distributed across all pool members |
| Community governance | Pool parameters voted by members |
| Target yield | 8–15% APY (varies by pool risk tier) |
